Private Investigator

Lauren Platt Marin is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Barry University and extensive clinical, legal, and investigative experience. Her background includes emergency, critical care, and trauma nursing, with experience managing high-acuity patients across diverse clinical environments and all stages of life.

Since 2013, she has served as a Legal Nurse Consultant with Specialized Investigations Consultants, providing medical record review, case analysis, and evaluation of standards of care, causation, and damages in complex litigation. She became a Licensed Private Investigator in 2018 and specializes in personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, surveillance, forensic interviewing, and scene investigations.

As a senior leader, Lauren oversees investigative operations, manages private investigators and surveillance activities, and works closely with Jay Marin, President of Specialized Investigations Consultants, as second-in-command. Recognized with multiple professional honors, including the DAISY Award, she brings a disciplined, results-driven approach that bridges medicine, law, and investigation to deliver reliable outcomes and peace of mind for our clients.
